Workshop with Islam Elarabi and Toto

Egyptian dancers and choreographers Islam Elarabi and Mohamed Mahmud Mohamed Ibrahim, known as “Toto”, have developed their own choreographic language in neighbourhood celebrations—where mahraganat was born—as well as at the Cairo Contemporary Dance Centre, where they trained. Alongside their work as performers and choreographers, they are actively involved in teaching mahraganat dance through workshops and classes in Egypt, France and across Europe.
